Yet another successful Porto PianoFest in New York!

For the third year in a row, Porto PianoFest offered an astounding performance at the Yamaha Artist Services in Manhattan, New York. With performances by directors Nuno Marques and Mariel Mayz and two very special guests, renowned jazz musicians, Andre Carvalho and Richard Sears, the event was a success.

Not only does Porto PianoFest cultivate international artistic dialogue, it also shows the American public what the city of Porto has to offer at an artistic level. Moreover, it brings Portuguese-Americans closer to home in the heart of New York City.

Director Nuno Marques was kind enough to prepare a short statement about the event:

“Porto Pianofest, like the Portugal-US Chamber of Commerce, aims to build bridges between Portugal and the USA. With the support from PUSCC we are able to bring Portuguese culture to NYC, to bring our music and a taste of Portugal to the heart of Manhattan. We are grateful to PUSCC for your continued support, and for your commitment to make this partnership a success. Together, we achieve higher goals, and take Portugal and Portuguese culture further.”

For anyone interested, the next edition of the festival will take place between the 1st and 9th of August in various venues in Porto.
