The Portugal-US Chamber of Commerce wishes Board Member Ms. Cristina St.Clair all the best in her new venture.
Cristina is stepping down from the PUSCC’s Board effective November 10 2016 as she is moving to California.
Cristina has been a member of the PUSCC board since February 2001, and has served as vice president, on the events committee, and the executive committee, more recently as Treasurer. As Treasurer, she has strengthened the financial reporting of the Chamber. For the past year, the Chamber has increased its activities and Cristina was key in updating and maintaining all of the Chamber’s financial items.
Cristina became a member of the Chamber upon her arrival in New York in 1995, when she joined the New York Branch of Banco Espirito Santo. As a Senior Vice President of Business Development, her responsibilities included, but were not limited to, managing and developing the NY branch portfolio of Latin American Assets.
Cristina spent her childhood years in Mozambique before her family moved to Portugal. She lived in Canada while her father attended McGill University and spent some time in Brazil when working for Shell. She has been in NY for the past 21 years. Cristina is a Chartered Financial Analyst and an Energy Risk Professional. She holds degrees in Economics and European Studies from Universidade Católica Portuguesa and an MBA from Universidade Nova de Lisboa. She speaks five languages.
Cristina is now moving to California to begin a new chapter in life. She also hopes to do a little surfing and sailing. She enjoys traveling, jazz and books as well as spending time with her husband.
The Board would like to thank Cristina for her continued contribution to the Chamber. She will be missed!
